Down, but not out

My internet is down right now and I can only get to a cafe occassionally. I'll be back up as soon as I have access again.

What this is all about

I'm an American from west-central Missouri, living in the United Kingdom. The four great loves of my life are my daughter, baseball, the Kansas City Royals, and history. What I'm going to try to do is look at baseball from an international perspective, how the game is spreading around the globe, and how the game is portrayed and viewed in other countries.

As far as content, I'm not a news service and won't be posting about trades, or box scores, or particular games. I won't be doing a lot of stuff on Major League Baseball, because, you know, the 1,000,001st blog about MLB just won't get taken seriously. On occasion, I will add in some essay-type posts about baseball in general and how I see things. Just because I want to and I can.

I will also write on any topic I feel like, adding my own perspective to things, from my experience of living around the world, my life in the Army, my love of history, and my knowledge of politics and government.
